AS SPICES ADD TASTE CUISINE, SAFFRON FLOWER IS GOOD FOR IMPROVING MOOD


Saffron flower ears seem unfamiliar society. However, in the American state of this interest has been used as a spice penggugah cuisine tastes.

Not only that, according to research by Iran's Roozbeh Psychiatric Hospital, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, saffron is also good for improving mood. While in Persia, saffron and placebo has long been used in traditional medicine mood enhancer.

"Flowers are just having a little stigma is likely to reduce the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and also depression," says researcher, Shahin Akhondzadeh, Ph.D. quoted EatingWell, Thursday, March 26, 2015.

The researchers involved 50 women who often have PMS. They were given two capsules size 15 mg of saffron or placebo capsules every day for two menstrual cycles.

They claim there is a change of emotion around eight percent. "Saffron has a natural antidepressant effects comparable with the antidepressant fluoxetine (Prozac) and imipramine (Tofranil)," said Akhondzadeh.
