A Popular Indian sari
Sari or saree or shari is a type of fabric used women in the country of India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.Sari is clothing that consists of strands of cloth sewn, variations vary with length of 4-9 meters are applied to the body with a variety kinds of styles. The most common type is the sari wrapped around the waist, with hooked ends of the shoulders to the lower back.
Sari is usually worn over clothes petticoat or inside (pavada / pavadai in South India, and Shaya East India), with a choli or blouse Ravika. Choli has short sleeves and a low neck to adapt the South Asian community with a very hot summer.
Clothing in India generally depends on the local culture, traditions, climate and dominant religion in the area. Since decades now, women in India have chosen a traditional sari, salwar kameez, lehenga, ghagra choli etc. the man on the other hand chose to wear a dhoti, which kurta, tee shirts, shirts etc. The little boy dressed in shorts and a T-shirt while women generally wear a long skirt down blouse. Women accessorize their outfits with a bindi, bangles etc while men love their turbans. It is a traditional dress in India which when made by the designers have elegance, class and is widely used by people all over the world.
Sari has become synonymous with women around the world and the West sharper try traditional Indian clothing. However, Clothes in India has seen a definite transition and western fashion style definitely create an impact on the Indians. One can find everyone from teenagers to mature adults trying to imitate the western culture. Long skirt in the case of girls have opened the way for a low waist denim, tops in the neck, short numbers like dresses, mini skirts, shorts etc. The boys look pants and shirt to show off while men love plaid shirt or strips line and ladies fancy dress, half cider etc clothing in India has seen a mixture of western and ethnic wear.
