People die, life again after being put in an ice bath by his doctors.
From Mirror.co.uk pages, Thursday, March 15, 2015, father of two children from Turkey, Bulent Sonmez, seems to have been unable to be saved again when entering the hospital because of a heart attack.
Sonmez heart had stopped beating and the doctors could no longer turn the heart Sonmez with defibrillator paddles.
However, in a final attempt to make the heart beat again, the doctor uses a controversial treatment of hypothermia therapy to lower the body temperature to just 30 degrees Celsius. It was to limit the effects of lack of oxygen in the heart organ.
Sonmez body already stiff included in a tub of ice-cold. Magically, after heart Sonmez started 'live' again, the doctor spent about 24 hours to keep the heart rate and body temperature returned to normal temperature Sonmez.
But the joy was short-lived Sonmez family. The problem is, the 40-year-old man can only remember about half the memory of his life. Worse, he does not remember his wife and children.
But with the passage of time, Sonmez, who almost died eight months ago, now has begun to unify most of his memory.
"It was like a movie, I do not know how to explain to our two children who had been waiting at home for this," said Sibel Sonmez, 39, wife of Sonmez.
"I tried to resolve it by showing photographs, but it took a very long time for him to remember."
According to Omer Zuhtu, a doctor in Ankara, said Sonmez has been home since eight months ago and seems to have started to recall lost memories.
"We did not find a lot of detailed literature about the side effects of the treatment of hypothermia therapy. This therapy is controversial procedure but we believe in it can save lives," said Zuhtu.
Treatment of hypothermia therapy can be used to limit the effects of oxygen deprivation in patients with heart attack, but can cause severe brain damage. (Ism)
