Grandmother 65 years is going to be the oldest mother to give birth


Annegret Raunigk is a mother of 13 children who will be awaiting the birth of the baby that she carried. However, a teacher of 65 years is going to be the oldest mother to give birth to a child at the age of more than half a century.

German woman is now pregnant 21 weeks to 14th child. Current pregnancy is the result of artificial insemination using sperm and egg quality were donated.


Raunigk said he was shocked when pregnant again.


"I was surprised when the ultrasonic scanner showed me pregnant. Twins four!" she exclaimed as reported by the Daily Mail newspaper, Sunday (12/4).


Gynecologist had asked him to abort because of the risk that it will face later. However, this grandmother argued he was still strong and able to care for them.


"I do not think would have a problem if I gave birth to four babies anymore," he said.


Currently, the oldest woman ever named Merryl Fudel pregnant 55-year-old at the time of delivery, and Raunigk likely to record a new history by giving birth to twins at age four dusk.[Ard]
